WHY STEM IS A GOOD STRAND?

 SCIENCE - TECHNOLOGY - ENGINEERING - MATHEMATICS 

STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications.


STEM teaching and learning goes beyond the mere transfer of knowledge. It engages students and equips them with critical thinking, innovation,  problem solving, creative and collaborative skills, and ultimately establishes connections between the school, work place, community and the global economy. 




The focus on logical thought processes and problem-solving allows students to develop mental habits that will help them succeed in any field. STEM coursework challenges students to think critically and come up with their own solutions.

As a STEM student, stem is a helpful strand since it helps in logical learning and problem solving. When engaged in STEM subjects, students can develop and strengthen their cognitive skills and learn the basics of coding and engineering in primary schools. This approach will develop kids' cognitive abilities and aid them in the speed and quality of their problem-solving skills. Despite the difficulty of this strand, you will get a lot of knowledge. It will also have a various work opportunities in future.

  Social media is very important in communicating to other people around the globe. It helped families, social workers and government in discerning information during calamities. Through social media every family can easily communicate with their relatives from other places especially to those outside our country. While for social workers, it can be a tool to enlightened or educate us with information during calamities. Our government most especially can spread or disseminate information through the use of social media. It is very obvious that social media is a big help. I know we couldn't forget about the Covid-19 pandemic that hit different part of the world. By using social media we are able to inform other countries that we are suffering right now, such as like not having enough PPEs or other equipment and also lack of quarantine facilities brought by said pandemic. I believed that social media is a gift of modern era.
